WSUK is conducting a project with Black Asian Minority Ethnic (BAME) families affected by WS called “Breaking Down Barriers”.
The feedback from 20 members of our BAME WS community have now been collated and analysed. The key findings and recommendations were presented to the WSUK Board of Trustees on 27th November. They are also included in the project monitoring and evaluation form, which will be submitted to the BDB team in December. The recommendations will help to shape the plan for the project in year 2. A funding application for year 2 will be submitted to the BDB team by the end of January 2021.
We would like to thank everyone who has taken part in this important project – your feedback is really important to us in helping to shape our future activities.
“Breaking Down Barriers” is part of an initiative for patient organisations being run by Alstrom Syndrome UK and funded by the Sylvia Adams Charitable Trust.
